Happy Hall-oat-ween!
Do you dress up for Halloween? What about your horse? Whether you get into the spirit of the holiday or not, there’s no denying that tasty treats are on everyone’s mind a little more this time of year. Of course you can’t give your horse any of your (or your kids’) Halloween haul, but that doesn’t mean you can’t share the yumminess of October with your equine pals. Nutritious, versatile, and easy-to-cook, oats are a perfect ingredient for a wide variety of healthy horse snacks. And who doesn’t love giving their horse his own special treat?
Check out the recipes below for some tasty oat treats you can give your horse. Make sure to ask for a “trick” before feeding, so that you’re rewarding positive behavior!
