Charleigh’s Cookies offers an all natural solution to your horse treats. Feed them cookies filled with ingredients you know and recognize. I am a big fan of these and so is Taylor. Taylor recently injured himself in a way that immediately raises the question of how did he do this? Of course, with most horses, we will never know. But he managed to give himself a good puncture wound in his shoulder that resulted in a draining tube, flushing twice a day, and antibiotics (I’ll spare you those photos). Charleigh’s Cookies had sent me their new Cover-Up Cookie so it worked out well.
His medicine was in a powder form instead of pill, but that didn’t matter. It still worked for the treat. First, remove the organic Medjool date center.
Then place pill or medicine in the center of the cookie.
Now, press the date back into the center of the cookie and cover up the medicine.
It’s that simple! You’re ready to go. Taylor has figured out when I go into the feed room it usually means he’s about to get something tasty.
